Church in the Park - Oshawa 2019


Church in the Park is an interdenominational gathering of people from various churches. It will include lively music and inspirational speakers. Come out to enjoy a summer evening. Bring a coffee, snacks, the family and neighbours. Everyone is welcome.

Church in the Park Oshawa 2018 is being held in the bandshell at Memorial Park in Oshawa. 110 Simcoe Street South (between Hwy 401 and King Street)

July 7th, 6:00 pm M.A.W.D. Gospel Project.

They are a local band of talented Christian  musicians led by Bill Gillespie. Their music is a fusion of Gospel, CCM,  World Music, Jazz and Rock. They bring the people and music of  different cultures together and take people from where they are into the  presence and power of the almighty Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  

July 14th, 6 pm Heart and Home

Returning for a third year,  Jenniah and Jedidiah Armstrong are coming all the way from Niagara Falls because they support the vision and work of Church in the Park.  They are in full time ministry leading worship and conducting workshops  and training. 


August 4th, 6:00 pm Infinitely More

 Husband and wife duo, Allison Lynn and Gerald Flemming, offer a fusion of folk, pop, hymns and worship that soothes the heart and ignites the soul. Their original songs and fresh interpretations of the classics will encourage and inspire both the seeker and the lifelong Christian. 

 Based out of St. Catharines, Ontario, this full-time nationally touring  ministry travels over 40,000 KM annually, singing in churches of all  sizes and denominations.

Their latest project - The Beauty Of The One - recently won two Covenant  Awards! This lush album is a collection of Infinitely More’s original  worship and inspirational songs celebrating the wonder found in God’s  glorious creation. Awarded by the Gospel Music Association of Canada,  the Covenants celebrate the best of Canadian Christian music.

The Beauty Of The One has also received a celebrated nomination for  Inspirational Recording (Album) Of The Year by the East Coast Music  Awards. 


Guest Speaker - Ruth Smith

 "Oshawa... prepare to be amazed!"... Ruth Smith believes that this motto  regarding Oshawa is true regarding the entire Durham region! She first moved to Oshawa in 1987 and has seen transformation and the goodness of God in many areas and many ways. Her heartbeat is to see His Kingdom grow here, to assist people in becoming  more aware of their individual purpose and to experience the community and  society growing in goodness.
Her message will bring hope and encouragement to all.

August 18th, 6:00 pm Matt & Jen Robinson

Matt and Jen are worship leaders and songwriters who have a passion to see lives transformed through a lifestyle of worship. Their passion to encounter the presence of God has allowed many people to connect with Him in new and refreshing ways.

Mark Thomas from Teen Challenge. (drug rehabilitation centre)

Mark and his team will be sharing powerful stories of lives that have been transformed.
